We worship,
Mouthing myths.
We mold
Mortals into immortality.
Our sheepish smiles
Salute Sovereigns
Holding ill-gotten sovereignty.
Fears fondle our faculties,
Our stomachs seek succour.
Holy writs abound
To blind
And bind us.
Heaven and Hell emerge
To stoke our fears
And stoke
Our hopes of Paradise.
